The Waitakere Table Tennis Association (WTTA) is a privately funded, not-for-profit organisation that has been formed to represent and support the table tennis members, players, clubs, and consumer interests of the West Auckland area.

The Director of the Waitakere Table Tennis Association (WTTA) is Stephen Taylor, former CEO of Exercise New Zealand, a national trade organization that currently represents the recreation service interests of over 300 public and private-funded exercise and recreation facilities nationwide.

Stephen is a multi-award-winning Management and Marketing Consultant within the Recreation Service Delivery space, having won nine national management and marketing awards in:

  • Membership Procurement & Retention.
  • Sales & Marketing.
  • Facility Startups.
  • Customer & Membership Service.

The core business of the Waitakere Table Tennis Association (WTTA) includes the ongoing promotion of the sport of table tennis in West Auckland, and the operation of the Waitakere Table Tennis Association (WTTA) Table Tennis Club, located at the Glen Eden Recreation Centre, Harold Moody Park, 40-44 Glendale Road, Glen Eden, as well as:

  • Player, member, club, and consumer support and advocacy.
  • Funding, management, contract, service, equipment, and governance assistance for new and existing table tennis clubs that are established, or that wish to be established, in West Auckland.
  • Funding, management, contract, service, equipment, and governance assistance for new and existing table tennis clubs to grow their membership base and improve service delivery in West Auckland.
  • Co-ordination and promotion of the West Auckland Table Tennis Club Network, which includes The Waitakere Table Tennis Association (Glen Eden), the French Bay Table Tennis Club (Glen Eden), Synergy Table Tennis Club (New Lynn), Rodneys Table Tennis Centre (New Lynn), the Waitemata Table Tennis Association (Sunnyvale), the West Wave Recreation Centre (Henderson), and a range of other community venues in West Auckland.
