The West Auckland Table Tennis Club Network has launched the Networks “Table Tennis in the Community” Project.

This project has been set up to provide access to the sport of Table Tennis across multiple community sites across West Auckland.

If your West Auckland Community Centre, Library, or Hub would like to secure a Community Table Tennis Table at your venue, supplied by the The West Auckland Table Tennis Club Network, please email waitakeretabletennis@gmail.com for more information.

Site # 1: Glen Eden Recreation Centre:

The West Auckland Table Tennis Club Network has donated 1 Community Table Tennis Table to the Glen Eden Recreation Centre.

This table can be utilised by any of the 18-plus community groups and their members throughout the week, as Communicare did today 🙂

A big thank you to all of the local Table Tennis players in West Auckland (and a couple of players from even from afar) who attended the French Bay Table Tennis Club season launch on Thursday, 3/4/25, at their new playing venue, the Glen Eden Recreation Centre, Glen Eden, Auckland

A full house was enjoyed by all 🙂

The Waitakere Table Tennis Association (WTTA) congratulates the French Bay Table Tennis Club on achieving such a fantastic start to the season in their new playing venue and enjoying an increased table capacity for a growing club membership.

ITTANZ is delighted to announce the establishment of the West Auckland Table Tennis Club Network.

The primary purpose of the West Auckland Table Tennis Club Network is to encourage more people into the sport of table tennis, whilst giving all members across the three clubs a range of club night options to choose from, each week.

West Auckland Table Tennis Players can now choose to play at a choice of 3 Clubs, from a choice of 3 Club Nights, for 1 Price.

MONDAYS:
Synergy Table Tennis Stadium, New Lynn, 6.30 pm-8.30 pm ($8.00 casual play).

($100.00 Annual Memberships also available) Starts Monday, 7/4/25.

THURSDAYS:
French Bay Table Tennis Club, Glen Eden, 7.30 pm-9.30 pm ($10.00 casual play)

(No Annual Membership Available) Starts 3/45/25.

FRIDAYS:
Waitakere Table Tennis Club, Glen Eden, 6.30 pm-9 pm ($10.00 casual play)

(A $25.00 Annual Membership is Available to qualify for the $10.00 session fee)

Beginner, Social, and Competitive play is available at all venues.

Response to Waitemata Table Tennis Association Member Approaches regarding joining the Waitakere Table Tennis Association (WTTA).

In response to the above, the Waitakere Table Tennis Association (WTTA) can now confirm that the Waitakere Table Tennis Association (WTTA) will honor the balance (without cost) of any existing annual membership term for any table tennis players who wish to transfer from the Waitemata Table Tennis Association to the Waitakere Table Tennis Association, up to a capped total of 20 players.

We have now begun accepting the transfer-by-approach of players from the Waitemata Table Tennis Association to the Waitakere Table Tennis Association, and we trust that this decision will assist other Waitemata Table Tennis Association players who may also be considering such a membership transfer to the Waitakere Table Tennis Association (WTTA).

For those West Auckland-based WTTA members who wish to play more than once a week, here is a schedule of some suggested local club options that we recommend:

Monday: Synergy Table Tennis & Sports Club, Unit 3/44 Portage Road, New Lynn, Auckland. $6.00 per person, or $12.00 p/h table hire. Over-55s can join Synergy Table Tennis & Sports Club for just $20.00 p/a (Monday-Friday access), and no additional table tennis session fees apply (Monday-Friday access). 6 Tables. Tuesday: French Bay Table Tennis Club, St John Vianney Church Building, 317 Hillsborough Rd, Hillsborough. $15.00 per person. 4 Tables. Club Night is from 7.30 pm – 10 pm. Contact Bryce Kay at (0272) 219 726, or email brycek@xtra.co.nz

Wednesday: Waiatarua Table Tennis Club, 911 West Coast Rd, Waiatarua. $2.00 per person. 2 Tables. Club Night is from 7 pm – 8.30 pm. Contact Tony Bacon at (09) 8149860, or email tony.bacon@sthw.co.nz

Thursday: Waitakere Table Tennis Association (WTTA), Harold Moody Park, 44 Glendale Rd, Glen Eden. $12.00 per adult, $7.00 for up to 16 for casual play, or $10.00 per adult, and $5.00 for up to 16 for annual members (Membership is $20.00 p/a for adults, and $10.00 per annum p/a for up to 16 years). 6 Tables.
